4 Possibles Theories for Jon Snow’s Future

HBO dropped a major Bombshell on Twitter after releasing a Jon Snow poster. The JON SNOW fan community is already brimming with joy. The Game of Thrones fan community is now speculating as to what will happen with Jon Snow. Now was his death a foil for something big, or is Jon Snow really dead. Here are 4 possible explanations as to what it necessarily means:

For the funeral

Jon Snow’s future

It could be similar to what happened with Charles Dance last year when he just appeared and shot for the funeral of Tywin Lannister. Jon Snow fanatics do not want to believe this theory, but this might be possible. He has still kept his long hair and this might be the reason for it.

A Flashback Scene

Jon Snow’s future

There could be a flashback scene involving Jon Snow. Game of Thrones might introduce the story line of Arthur Dayne and a new location in Belfast could serve as the Tower of Joy. So to just integrate the Dayne storyline, Jon Snow could do a cameo. Now, that is not what the fans want.Dire Wolf

Jon Snow’s future

Jon’s dying words were “ghost”, which is apparently the name of his Wolf. Now, it could happen that “Ghost” adopted the soul of his master and we might see “Jon Ghost the Wolf” and not Kit Harington in the role. There is a prophecy by Melisandre in the books that could well apply to Jon Snow,

Now he was a man, now a wolf, now a man again.

Lady Melisandre and Lord of Light

Jon Snow’s future

After Stannis apparently dies at the hands of Brienne, Melisandre flees to Castle Black. Now can Melisandre do one sensible thing before Arya kills her? We want to believe that she brings back Jon Snow from the dead. We have already seen how Lord of Light bought back the Beric Dondarrian, the leader of Brotherhood without Banners after a priest Thoros prayed to the lord. He bought back Dondarrian six times as seen in season 3 of Game of Thrones. This could also mean the possible setup for Jon Snow to become Azhor Ahai in season 7. He could well be the one to carry the sword Lightbringer. Of course there are other theories that suggest Danereys or Stannis may be Azhor Ahai but some prophecies by Melisandre might suggest it is Jon Snow,

When the red star bleeds and the darkness gathers, Azor Ahai shall be born again amidst smoke and salt to wake dragons out of stone.  (Melisandre to Jon Snow)

I pray for a glimpse of Azor Ahai, and R’hllor shows me only Snow. (Melisandre’s thoughts)

These are only theories. Game of Thrones has this ability to surprise everyone and anything can happen. Kit Harington is a wondeful actor and the fan community is praying for his comeback. Well we hope, the D and D duo do not dissapoint us in Season 6. Emilia Clarke in an interview has already suggested that Season 6 is going to be “mental”. Lets hope it is not outrageous and difficult to digest.

Game of Thrones Season 6 returns on HBO in April 2016.
