[tps_header]The Marvel Cinematic Universe will soon venture deep into the jungles of the Dark Continent. Wakanda – the technologically advanced African micronation is the setting for the upcoming Black Panther movie this year. While the trailer introduces us to top-notch special effects and fights choreography, the cast is no joke either. Let us help you remember the where you might have seen the cast members before and what characters they portray.

10. Chadwick Boseman – T’Challa

Black Panther is the King of Wakanda. He is the inheritor of the mantle his predecessors have been holding onto since for centuries. When T’Challa assumes the mantle of the Panther after his father gets killed, he consumes a heart-shaped drug to enhance his physical attributes to near superhuman levels. With an indestructible Vibranium suit and claws that could literally cut through anything, T’Challa makes his first appearance in the MCU in Civil War. Boseman is best known for his roles as James Brown in Get On Up and Jackie Robinson in 42.

9. Danai Gurira – Okoye

Danai Gurira is a member of the Dora Milaje. The Dora Milaje are an elite force of highly trained women only bodyguards of the Wakandan king. They also serve as possible candidates for the future wife of the nation. The MCU has not given her character due credit but she plays a significant role as the Bodyguard of T’Challa in the comics. Fans may know her as Michonne of AMC’s The Walking Dead. No wonder she can handle weapons so well.
