Review:
With the film Yaanai, the director has gone back to his roots, especially when it comes to storytelling. There’s a strong whiff of the early 2000s in this movie w/ the narration jumping b/w the main plot as well as the commercial must-haves of those days which is mandatory romantic track as well as comedy. This feels unnecessary and out of the trend these days. With that being said, the movie definitely remains watchable, especially when we can overlook the muddled politics of the movie.
