Black Panther 2 Leaked Set Photos Reveal Okoye and Shuri’s New Looks

Marvel has a lot of new projects planned in the upcoming years and each of them sounds more and more exciting. A lot of new characters are set to be introduced in the upcoming years while other characters are going to go through a lot of changes. There’s an air of excitement regarding these projects amongst fans as they are going to take us to another saga since the Infinity Saga is over. While some of these projects have revealed some detail others are sticking to the secrecy rules of the other Marvel projects. This includes the upcoming sequel to Black Panther, i.e. Wakanda Forever. And now, the new Black Panther 2 Leaked Set Photos reveal essential details regarding the project.

The Black Panther Movie

Black Panther was a critical and box office hit, considered amongst the best of Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. The movie even got nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards for 2018. This was a major event considering no other MCU movie has gotten a nomination in that category. The movie had great performances from the late Chadwick Boseman in the titular role. Even the villain portrayed by Michael B. Jordan was amongst the best villains in the franchise. The movie became a symbol of representation for Black Characters and it was identified all over the world.

Unfortunately, the death of Chadwick Boseman earlier this year left a big hole in the hearts of Marvel fans all across the world. His performance in the titular character being a landmark and nothing could change that. This also leads to a massive change in the script for the sequel as the movie had to be reshaped to honor Chadwick Boseman and T’Challa. Fans are wondering what how this loss will be dealt with in the sequel. There is a lot of trust in MCU for handling this even though the studio didn’t have to go through anything like this before.

Since principal photography for the movie is finally in full swing, fans are keenly trying to break down the details from whatever unofficial snaps coming across the internet. Even though not much is known regarding the project but the snaps are giving some idea regarding what the other characters are up to. Some brand new leaked snaps from the set, show Okoye and Shuri in entirely different attires. The photos are taken on location at the MIT campus in Cambridge, MA where filming is currently taking place. The actors were initially seen wearing black cloaks to hide their outfits. Later during the shoot, they took them off to reveal the unusual outfits.

The get-ups for Okoye and Shuri could simply be a non-tradition garb so that they don’t catch many audiences in public. An important detail could be noticed here as Okoye could still be seen wearing an ensemble in the team’s color representing the Dora Miljae. The same tradition was followed by her in the original movie during the Busan sequence. With this being an appearance in civilian clothes by the two women, we can expect to see them in new Wakandan clothes during some other moments in the movie.

What to expect?

Even though it was previously made appear that some scenes will be shot at MIT it’s still not sure what could this mean for the movie. After the confirmation of Riri Williams being in the sequel, there are some hints as to what might be following based on these events. Shuri is chosen by T’Challa to spearhead the science and technology division of Wakanda’s outreach program, in the ending sequence of Black Panther. This could lead to the Wakandan Prince going to recruit Ironheart, who studies at the prestigious school.

Dominique Thorne, cast as Ironheart, was also seen at the premises before which solidifies these theories. Some other theories based on hints show the possibility of a war between Wakanda and Atlantis being featured in the sequel. Tenoch Huerta has reportedly been cast as Namor the Submariner. There is not much evidence regarding this theory but it is about time we got to see Namor.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will see its release on July 8, 2022.
