- Public announcement regarding Roohi was made on 29th of March 2019 and filming on the project began on 14 June 2019 in Agra. The film was set for a box office premiere in June 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic in India interrupted its production. As a result the film was theatrically released in India on 11 March 2021.
- Movie is a box office failure, with almost every segment of media giving it less than 3 stars out of 5. Female lead of Roohi i.e. Janhvi Kapoor is a star kid i.e. daughter of Late Bollywood Actress: Sridevi Kapoor and Film Producer: Boney Kapoor.
