The baby was named X Æ A-12 Musk, which is not ordinary at all. But then again, this is no ordinary child either. This extraordinary name became a trend on the internet as everyone tried to decipher the meaning of this name.
As many of you may have predicted, the name of the baby boy has already been changed. But if you were assuming that the baby would actually get an ordinary name, then you were surely wrong. Apparently, you might still not be able to pronounce the name because the only part of it that has changed is the “12.” Instead of X Æ A-12, the baby will now be called X Æ A-Xii Musk. The 12 has been turned into Roman Numerals. The revelation came in the comments section of Grimes’ Instagram post as she replied to a fan who asked whether the baby’s name will be changed to accommodate California laws.

‘Æ’ is AI in the Elven Language, which is the literal word for “love” in numerous languages, and also means Artificial Intelligence.
The ‘A-12,’ or rather ‘A-Xii’ as now we’re supposed to call the kid, is a reference to an aircraft, the previous model of the SR-17. It is the favorite aircraft of both Elon Musk and Grimes, so they’ve put referred it with the name of their kid.
If you were already confused as to how to pronounce the name, Elon & Grimes will confuse you even more. Apparently, Musk told Joe Rogan that Æ was pronounced like “Ash,” but Grimes said that it actually Sounds like “AI.”
