Disney Movies Will Make You Cry:
Disney movies are all about adventure, love, and hope but these movies can easily break your heart. We got some of our saddest moments in life during our childhood through these movies. This mix of pain and pleasure is what makes Disney movies so memorable.
#10: Toy Story 2 (1999)
Toy Story 2 explores the very tragic back-story of Jessie. The entire sequence where Jessie loses her friend Emily to puberty is very emotional. Emily abandoned Jessie and left her to be donated, and that is one of the saddest moments in the movie. Jessie did manage to find friends after losing all hope, which makes it a bit easier.
#9: Dumbo (1941)
Dumbo has a lot of sad moments but the sequence when he sees her mom for the last time without realizing it was heart-breaking. The scene when Dumbo’s mom starts singing from behind the bars will make you shed a lot of tears as you know what is coming next, but in naïve Dumbo has no idea his life is about to turn upside down.
#8: Inside Out (2015)
A lot of fans already argue that Inside Out is not a movie for kids due to its story, and even though this is not true, its story is pretty heavy. We all remember Bing Bong, Riley’s imaginary friend who sacrificed himself so that Joy could reach the control center. Only Disney can make you cry over an imaginary friend.
#7: WALL-E (2008)
Wall-E proves that one does not need to have a ‘heart’ to love others. Love is not limited to humans as this movie shows that even robots are capable of love. The most heart-breaking moment in the movie comes when Wall-E fails to recognize Eve after being rebooted. But it all ends well as they end up together again.
#6: Coco (2017)
Coco uses music superbly to amplify the effect of the movie. Certain sad situations are made sadder by using amazing songs. Fans could not hold their tears back when Miguel tried to help Coco remember her father. It is a very strong scene that can make anyone cry. Even the happy moments in the movie will make you shed a lot of tears.
#5: Toy Story 3 (2010)
You won’t be able to control the flow of your tears after watching Toy Story 3 as Andy is finally leaving behind his friends to go to college. The movie has a lot of tear-jerking moments, from Andy playing with Woody one last time, to when all the toys hold their hands together in the incinerator. Fortunately, the movie ended on a positive note, giving us some respite.
#4: The Fox and the Hound (1981)
The Fox and the Hound is a borderline depressing movie that has countless heart-breaking moments. We could not hold back our tears when the widow abandoned Tod in the woods. But the biggest shock comes when the bond between the best friends Copper and Tod breaks, leaving us in tears.
#3: Bambi (1942)
We have all seen or heard about this movie and due to that you already know the scene which we are referring to. The final gunshot sound that killed Bambi’s mother was crushing, but the pain did not end there. When Bambi tries to wake up her mom, that is when fans lost all control over their emotions.
#2: The Lion King (1994)
The Lion King is one of the most iconic Disney movies of all time and the scene where Mufasa falls to his death is very hard to look at. But all hell breaks loose when Simba finds his father motionless on the ground and tries to wake him up. It is nearly impossible to watch this scene without getting emotional.
#1: Up (2009)
Up is a fantastic movie but not a lot of fans have the strength to go through the movie again as they know they will cry again. The first few minutes of the movie display the love story of Carl and Ellie and it is one of the most beautiful love stories you will ever see, but it ends on a tragic note that will wreck you for life.
