Bollywood war type movies have always struggled in balancing on the thin line between the terms patriotism & jingoism. Aditya Dhar, in his debut directorial URI — The Surgical Strike has successfully been delivered as a film with the perfect blend of josh, action & intent.
Apparently, there is nothing wrong with trying to focus on the emotional side of any story & building up to a successful mission, it takes away the screen space that could have been used to show the effort & training of the team that would actually execute the strike.

Synopsis
URI chronicles the events of the surgical strike conducted by the Indian military against the suspected militants in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). It tells the story of the 11 tumultuous events over which the operation was carried out. Following the roguish terrorist attacks at Uri Army Base camp in Kashmir, India takes the fight to the enemy, in its most successful covert operation till date with one and only one objective of avenging their fallen heroes.
