The film has been produced by Vinay Tiwari under the banner Crossword Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and was distributed by White Lion Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.
The music of the film has been composed by Amod Bhatt and the cinematography was handled by Vijay Kumar Arora. The film was released on 16th November 2018 and its runtime is 2 hours and 24 minutes.
Talking more about the film, it is a comedy-drama film which is based on Dr. Kashi Nath Singh’s famous Hindi novel named ‘Kashi Ka Assi’. It is a satire which is based on the commercialization of the pilgrimage city and also all the fake gurus who make a fool of all the foreign tourists.
Assi Ghat is a place in Vanarasi which is on the banks of Ganges river, and so the film is based in a very historical ‘Mohalla’ which is on the southern end of Varanasi. The film involves elements of drama, comedy, chaos, and madness and the concept of this film was really loved by the audiences and the critics.
The acting of all the stars in the film was amazing and was very well received by the Bollywood fans. Sunny Deol was really amazing in the film and his on-screen presence was just amazing.
The film was plotted really well and the direction of the film also received a good amount of praise from the cinema fans. The film received did not do a very good business at the box office but received a decent response from the audiences and the critics. The film collected around Rs 1 crore in its first weekend in India.
