About the Movie
Theeran (full name: Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru) is an Indian Tamil language film from the year 2017. This is a action thriller film, which is written and directed by H. Vinoth and produced by S. R. Prakash babu and S. R. Prabhu under the production banners of Dream Warrior Pictures.
The film features Karthi, Rakul Preet shah and Abhimanyu Singh. Also, it features music that is composed by Ghibran. Cinematography and editing is done by Sathyan Sooryan and Shivanandeeswaran respectively. Theeran was released on 17th November 2017 qith 163 minutes as running time.
This film is loosely based on the events from the Operation Bawaria case, which involved the nefarious activity of dacoits and its eventual containment by Tamil Nadu police. It was dubbed in Telugu as Khakee – the power of Police and also was dubbed in Hindi as Theeran and was released on Youtube by Goldmine Telefilms on 24th June 2018.
