Mirzapur is an Indian crime thriller web television series produced by Excel Entertainment, that premiered on Amazon Prime Video just this winter. The series is primarily shot in Mirzapur, with some scenes being shot in Jaunpur, Azamgarh, Ghazipur, Lucknow and Gorakhpur locations, and all of them falling in the Indian State of Uttar Pradesh.
It primarily casts light on the issues like drug and gun trade flourishing in the region under lawlessness. It depicts the putrescence, governance and rule of mafia dons and the rivalry and crime prevailing in the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh. The Season 1 of this series has 9 episodes in total. The Plot of the Movie
The iron-fisted Akhandanand Tripathi operates as a millionaire carpet exporter with his major business being a mafia don of Mirzapur. Munna, his son, is an unworthy, power-hungry heir who will stop at nothing to inherit his father’s legacy.
An unexpected incident at a wedding procession forces him to cross paths with Ramakant Pandit, an upstanding lawyer, and his sons, Guddu and Bablu. All of this snowballs into a game of ambition, power and greed that threatens the fabric of this lawless city.
