About the Movie
Secret Superstar is a 2017 Indian musical drama genre film, both written and directed by Advait Chandan, and jointly produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao.The film narrates the coming-of-age story of a teenage girl who aspires to be a singer one day, uploading videos on YouTube while disguising her identity with a niqab, and her relationships with her mother, father and mentor. The film is showing that how one can effectively deal with social issues including feminism, gender equality and domestic violence in this digital lifetime.
