Chekka Chivantha Vaanam (ccv) is an Indian Tamil film in crime and drama genre, which directed, co-written and co-produced by Mani Ratnam in 2018. The film has Arvind Silambarasan, Arun Vijay, Jyothika, Vijay Sethupathi, Aditi Rao Hydari, Aishwarya Rajesh and Dayana Erappa as the main star cast and Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Mansoor Ali Khan and Thiagarajan were seen in supporting roles. The film was co-produced by Mani Ratnam and A. Subaskaran under the banner of Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions, while co-written by Mani Ratnam and Siva Ananth. The film was shot by Santosh Sivan and edited by Sreekar Prasad. A. R. Rahman being the composer of the music in the film. The film was released on 27th September 2018 with the running time 143 mins with the dubbed version in the Telugu language titled as, Nawab. The film got 3.5 out of 5 stars and got positive reviews from the critics. The film is said to be perfect gangster drama in Mani Ratnam’s style. The film was a great hit and grossed 300 million in just four days in Tamil Nadu, making it one of the biggest openings in the region. The film performed well in abroad as well.
