Phase 4 Theory: MCU Will Spilt Into Two Different Timelines Which Will Run Simultaneously

Avengers 4 will be the final Phase 3 movie and it will be the end of the MCU as we know it. Moving past that, Phase 4 is going to be totally different from everything that we have seen till now. Kevin Feige mentioned that moving forward, MCU will be totally different and we will be seeing the first change in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Everything will be totally unexpected!

Phase 4 Theory MCU

There are so many theories running around Avengers 4 that people have actually forgotten about what will happen after that! Well, a new theory has come in which suggests that the events of Avengers 4 will be so insane that they will actually they will actually create separate timelines. Time Travel is obviously a very fragile concept. Even a little glitch or change in events could cause the entire timeline to collapse. Things could totally change from the past to the future and the Avengers are actually talking about going back in the past to prevent the big snap from ever happening.

Doing that, they will have to be very careful otherwise the Avengers may prevent the snap, but they might not be able to fight off what comes after. As Baron Mordo said, the Bill always comes due! So the theory suggests that the Avengers may be able to prevent the snap, which may create two alternate timelines together. One would actually be the current timeline where half the population is actually dead and the stories of some characters will continue there. The likes of Fantastic Four and X-Men which are supposed to be coming in with the Disney Fox merger could be introduced in that timeline.

While the second timeline, which has been created by preventing the snap. That would mean that none of the future MCU characters would have died. That is how Spidey would be in his sequels, Black Panther in his, and Doctor Strange in his future solo movies. So having 2 timelines running together could actually show us two different sides of the same coin. It would also be better than bringing in the Multiverse. The heroes lose weight when multiple Earths come in, but having two different timelines will be totally new and unexpected.

Also, it could be explained that Venom also came in post snap and no other Avengers survived. That is why he cannot be connected to Spider-Man. All this could lead to a major crossover event in the future where the writers could link two different timelines together, and bring in the likes of Captain Marvel, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Spidey and Ant-Man to crossover with the X-Men and Fantastic Four. Also, this could be a way to build up the Venom Crossover with Spider-Man.

The Venomverse aka Sony’s Universe of Marvel Characters is totally different from the MCU, but the world needs to see this version of Venom take on Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. So, Marvel needs to build that somehow. Let’s see what happens in the future. So let’s focus on Avengers 4 first.
