Avengers: Infinity War is the biggest comic-book ensemble movie with over 60 comic-book characters of relevance, half of them were superheroes. The movie featured the most epic showdown between Mad Titan ‘Thanos’ and Avengers Assemble. The MCU has been building Thanos as the ultimate cosmic villain for years, and buoy it was totally worth the wait.
He was the most terrifying adversary that Avengers had ever faced, and he overpowered the combined strength of Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy. He was absolutely determined to fulfil his purpose i.e rebalancing the universe even if it means wiping half of life at the snap of his fingers.
The only way Thanos could have done that is if he had all six cosmic singularities that control different aspects of the universe. The Russos described ‘Infinity War’ as a heist film where Thanos and his Black Order would steal Infinity stones (Power, Space, Mind, Time, Reality, Soul) scattered in different corners of the universe. Here’s what they said:
“With “Infinity War,” the biggest new element to the movie is Thanos and the fact that he’s entering the storytelling in a very bold, strong way, to the degree that he’s almost one of the leads. We’ve shaped an interesting narrative around him that in some ways leans heavily on a heist film in the fact that he’s going after the infinity stones in a much bolder, successful way than he has in the past. The entire movie has that energy of the bad guy being one step ahead of the heroes. We looked at a lot of movies that had that heist-style energy to them, and that brought some inspiration”.
Well, we know what happened in the end as Thanos managed to assemble all six Infinity stones and exterminated half the population of the entire universe.

An artist has imagined a very different heist where the roles have been reversed. It’s the ‘Avengers’ who are plotting to steal the Infinity Gauntlet. The Mad Titan Thanos is in full armor, reading a newspaper in a very composed manner. Well, he is enjoying a quiet life post snap in this grateful universe. Behind him, there are the surviving heroes of snap including Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hulk trying to steal the gauntlet through the makeshift fishing pole.

Avengers: Infinity War is a mammoth box-office success with earnings over $2 Billion worldwide, hence creating a box-office history. The movie is currently available on digital platforms, DVD/Blu Ray etc. The official movie synopsis reads:
“Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet — the evil Thanos. On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artifacts to inflict his twisted will on reality. The fate of the planet and existence itself has never been more uncertain as everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment”.
The sequel to ‘Infinity War’ is still untitled i.e “Avengers 4” as it’s a huge spoiler which will be revealed at the opportune moment. It will mark the culmination of all events, mysteries, plots, character arcs that have unfolded in the MCU till now.
The brief synopsis of Avengers 4 reads:
“A culmination of 22 interconnected films, the fourth instalment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.”
