Avengers 4 is still far away from us. Even the first trailer of the movie is going to take at least 5 months to come out. The movie has been shot but it still has to go through reshoots. It is currently under the post-production stage finishing all the special effects and everything. More than 10 months to go and still the hype of the movie is huge! This is the impact that Avengers: Infinity War has had upon us. The MCU has cast a spell on the audiences which cannot be broken now.
Infinity War was really huge in all aspects as it brought in close to 70 characters at once, plotted a story that was based upon so many movies from the past and pulled in some big game-changing events. It broke the $2 Billion mark at the Box Office and became the first Superhero movie to do so. Now, the only movie that is going to be even bigger than Avengers: Infinity War is going to be none other than Avengers 4.
The events of Infinity War were so horrific and gruesome that they actually need fixing if the MCU have to go forward. There are a whole lot of theories that give us an insight upon Avengers 4 or make us believe an insane thing that is going to happen as many set photos also prove that. The way Infinity War ended has already spawned countless theories for the next movie, and ever since the first Concept Art image for Avengers 4 got out, even more theories have come into play.
Avengers 4 is going to be a full on Time Travel event. The set photos make that apparent but now, the reveal of many concept art images from Infinity War have confirmed that. If you remember the very last scene of Infinity War, you would have seen that Thanos goes to an unknown place after the big snap, and he sits down and smiles watching the sun set. Most people suggested that the place where Thanos sits down is actually Titan.
But that was actually denied by many people as we saw in the movie that Titan was completely destroyed and is inhabitable, and the place that Thanos goes to has grass and rivers and is more or habitable & beautiful, so how could that be Titan. Well, in the comics, Thanos goes to this place and becomes a farmer, living the rest of his days in peace.
In the MCU as well, Thanos has been teased to do the same having accomplished his life’s goal by bringing Balance to the Universe. This new concept art image revealed for Infinity War actually confirms that Thanos is on Titan at this particular moment because artist Pete Thompson who actually posted this concept art image along with various others titled this image as ‘Titan – Thanos Farm’.
So there you have it, as it confirms that this place is indeed Titan. Now you may ask how this may be possible as Titan is all barren and red having no grass on it. Well, thinking that you would be right if you talk about the Titan from the present. This image actually confirms the Time Travel theory for Avengers 4 as it states that Thanos goes to his farm in the past when Titan was inhabitable.
Since Thanos will be spending the rest of his days in the past, the Avengers will also follow him back and that is why they engage in Time Travel. One may ask that how exactly does Thanos go to the past if the Infinity Gauntlet was destroyed in the movie. Well, Thanos does not actually have to use the Gauntlet here as he could simply use the Time Stone to do that.
This theory was debunked by many, but since this place has been confirmed by the artist who came up with it, we are pretty sure that this is Titan from the past. Now let’s see how Avengers 4 plays with Time Travel and its aspects. It hits the theatres on May 3, 2019, and here’s the official Synopsis:
