Avengers: Infinity War is going really strong at the Box office, and it has only been a little over the month since it has come out. In this short span of time, Infinity War has broken all the shackles and literally taken down the Box Office. It has grossed over $1.9 Billion worldwide and we are yet to see the last of it. It opened to a monstrous $640 million at the Box office worldwide and within just 8 days it crossed the magic mark of Billion dollars. It’s officially now the highest grossing superhero movie ever. Only Avengers 4 has the capability to become even bigger than Avengers: Infinity War.
The resistance against the Mad Titan in the ‘Infinity War’ was led by Iron Man, Thor, Doctor Strange and Captain America on the heroes’ part while Thanos was the big bad in the movie who actually won towards the end. That win was devastating for us but there is still hope as a ploy has been set up by the Sorcerer Supreme against Thanos. As we saw that Doctor Strange literally witnessed 14,000,605 alternate futures and found one outcome where the Avengers actually came out on top against the Mad Titan.
He played the cards on that one move and left us wondering what exactly was his play. He demanded Thanos to spare the life of Tony Stark as Stark may be the one who is extremely important for the future of the MCU, but that may not be the only play. There were big heroes that did not play any part in Infinity War, as they were reserved for significant roles in Avengers 4. Hawkeye is a big example of that, and towards the end of the movie, Captain Marvel was also set to do exactly that. Other than these two, one of the most important roles in Avengers 4 will be of Ant-Man.
Ant-Man and the Wasp will answer the reason why they were absent from Infinity War, and it may have been revealed that the Wasp will end up being the victim of Thanos’ finger snap as well. So Ant-Man will be inclined more than ever, to join the rest of the Avengers for the final stand against the Mad Titan. One of the biggest things that Ant-Man will bring in Avengers 4 will be his experience with the Quantum Realm. As we know that Avengers 4 is a big-time travel event, and with Thanos having the Time Stone, the Quantum Realm is possibly the only way which will make Time Travel possible.
We will see how things play out with the Quantum Realm in Ant-man and the Wasp. Looking at the Set Photos, it has been suggested that Ant-Man and other heroes will be using some devices that will allow the heroes to travel in and out of the Quantum Realm. But how will that happen? Possibly, Tony and Hank Pym together come up with those devices, which is why Tony’s survival was important.
But a new theory suggests that it is Doctor Strange who will draft Ant-Man and possibly the Wasp as well, into Avengers 4. Doctor Strange went into the future so he might have seen what roles each of the Avengers who are alive play in the battle against Thanos. So, it is actually him who goes in and warns all other players to join the fight and explain their roles. We may actually see Doctor Strange cameo in Ant-Man and the Wasp, warning both the heroes about the upcoming threat before it actually happens. He may not physically be there, but an astral projection of him doing that is highly likely. Also, since he is the only one other than Ant-Man who has actually been into the Quantum Realm and returned, he can tip Ant-Man of the relevance of that in the fight against Thanos.
This would do to things perfectly. One would be to incline both the heroes (if the Wasp survives the snap) into the Avengers 4 storyline, and it will also fulfil the obligatory cameo requirement in Ant-Man and the Wasp, just like Anthony Mackie’s Falcon did in the first Ant-Man movie.
