Iron Man vs Black Panther: Who will win?
This is a battle we would love to see happen even more than Civil War because this is a question we need the answer for in the Marvel Cinematic Universe! Both these individuals are extremely similar when it comes to their methods of fighting the bad guys, and they are the only two Superheroes to be a part of the Billion Dollar club! So let’s just go on and answer the Billion Dollar question, which is – Who among these is better??
Iron Man
Tony Stark before becoming Iron Man was a successful arms dealer. He is the second wealthiest Superhero in the universe. He has a Genius-level intellect and is proficient in science and engineering because of which he was able to make the Iron Man suit which possesses Superhuman strength and durability, Supersonic Flight, Energy repulsor and missile projection and Regenerative life support.
He has made so many suits with so many Unique and Insane abilities. All his suits come with different power and strength variations that allow him to do various things. One of his suits is able to ensure his survival in space and hyperspace, one of his suits allows him to go deep underwater.
We all know how strong the Hulk-buster is, and he has a stealth armor that makes him undetectable and invisible under any sort of radar. The strongest of his armors are Extremis armor which got upgraded to bleeding-edge armor which actually fits inside his body all the time so no one would ever see him coming.
Black Panther
The King of Wakanda (a technologically advanced nation) is the richest Superhero of the world. He is 5 times richer than Tony Stark! T’Challa is a trained scientist, Skilled armed and unarmed combatant and also a skilled tracker using his animalistic instincts. He has trained throughout his life and mastered all forms of African martial arts. He has Superhuman strength, speed, durability, and senses from the heart-shaped herb. T’Challa wears a suit fully made up of vibranium and also tech-savvy equipment.
Wakanda has a mountain full of Vibranium and he has an entire arsenal made up of high tech vibranium gadgets. His armoury contains various suits for different combat situations. One suit of his known as “Heavenly Armor”, is lightweight and offers him other defenses and abilities that his regular suit does not and one of the suits actually allows him to fly.
His latest suit as we saw in the movie is actually stored in his necklace, and transforms around his body as he thinks of it. This suit is not only impenetrable because of Vibranium, it also absorbs Kinetic Energy and charges itself, allowing it give out even stronger shock waves! He even has a suit similar to Iron Man’s Hulkbuster. It is also equipped with a PDA referred to as a Kimoyo Card which is a Super computer that allows Black Panther to seek any information he needs while he is on a mission
Iron Man vs Black Panther
This battle of tech-save gadgets and suits will go one for quite a while and it will be a treat to watch if it ever happens in the MCU. We know that Tony Stark has come up with cutting-edge technology to take down his opponents, but his tech is actually not a match for the Vibranium induced gadgets that T’Challa possesses. Even T’Challa’s suit possesses more enhanced abilities as it will easily be able to sustain any sort of Repulsor blast that Iron Man attacks him with, and the ability to counter-attack by absorbing Kinetic Energy.
Also, Vibranium is much harder than the alloy Iron Man uses in his suit, so if the Panther gets hold of Iron Man, he could crush his suit and totally rip it apart. The only upper hand Iron Man could have in this fight is his ability to fly and Jarvis using to bring in all his suits at once. Even then, his victory is not confirmed as Black Panther would be able to counter that too, with an even stronger return. Also, T’Challa is stronger than Tony as he is a skilled combatant and has superhuman abilities provided by the Heart Shaped Herb.
T’Challa has also taken down Iron Man in the comics. Iron Man had to take on the king of Wakanda once in a fight against him in a paradox version of a story. The story ended with Panther showing the lengths he would go to if need be, as he employed some stealthy technology that essentially shut down Iron Man’s artificial heart! So as much as we’d like to see Tony thrive, it is the Panther that will ultimately emerge victoriously. Tony will have his own bag of tricks that will allow him to last for a while, but Black Panther is going to win!
