We have watched these movies countless times and enjoy every time. Still, not every film can be perfect and have zero mistakes. After all, cinema is art and art can never be perfect right? These are some of the movies that had some plot holes in them but we still love them nonetheless.
The Santa Claus:
The 90s classic shows Tim Allen killing the actual Santa and then becoming Santa himself. So when the real Santa is killed Allen takes his job and delivers presents. The parents don’t believe in Santa’s existence naturally. So who do they think is delivering those presents to their house? Did they just see the presents and think one of them bought them and never had a conversation about it? Weird.
E.T:
This one might spoil your childhood so don’t read if you love this movie. So E.T was left behind by the spaceship and now wishes to go back right? There is a scene which proves that E.T is capable of levitating objects. The iconic bike scene is fresh in our memories. So why couldn’t E.T just fly itself back to his spaceship in the beginning itself? why all the drama huh!?
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2:
One of the best scenes in the movie is the ‘Prince’s tale’ where we see Snape’s memories that prove his love for Lily. In the whole montage, there are scenes from different times in Snape’s life and his memories. One of these memories is Lily telling little Harry to be safe and strong and that she loves him. This scene was simply beautiful but what doesn’t make sense is how Snape could have a memory of it? Snape wasn’t even there when this happened.
Planet of the Apes (2001):
So we understand this is a movie about a planet where apes rule. When the ship landed the planet was uninhabited and the race of apes develops through the bunch that was on board. The human counterparts descended from the crew of the ship. What is not explained is how and where did the horses come from? Also, why were they even needed in a movie about the conflict between humans and apes?
Spider-Man 3:
We all have our views when it comes to the third installment of the original Spidey movies. The villain Flint Marko has the ability to become sand at will and everything he is wearing including metal objects (his belt buckle for example) become sand. Still, the locket stays intact…how? The locket should turn into sand as well but nobody cares.
Batman Begins:
The first installment of the Nolan trilogy had us wondering some things too. The Scarecrow’s master plan is to release a fear-inducing drug into the water system so that everyone is drugged. The drug will induce hallucinations of everyone’s worst fears, causing them to attack each other and tear apart the city. Ra’s has stolen a microwave emitter from Wayne Enterprises and intends to vaporize all the town’s water, which would make the fear toxin airborne. But the human body is itself made of water so the emitter would vaporize the water and kill everyone right!?
Jurassic World:
In ‘Jurassic Park’ there were a limited number of gas-powered Jeeps that employees used to travel the resort. When the characters in ‘Jurassic World’ are trying to escape from rampaging dinosaurs, they randomly stumble upon some of the Jeeps from the earlier park. They manage to fix up the Jeeps, way too quickly and escape. So the jeeps had not been in use for 20 years and were sitting there in a tropical environment and Chris Pratt manages to start them and drive. This is some next level shit!
Jurassic Park:
The most successful one out of the franchise also had some insane stuff. At the end we see a full-grown T-Rex entering the visitor center and fighting the Raptors. How did the giant dino get in? The walls weren’t crashed so it didn’t crash in then, how? And the characters look shocked to see it so it didn’t even create a sound? That is one nimble footed T-rex!
The Empire Strikes Back:
Regarded as the best movie of the franchise ESB is really a masterpiece. However, the timeline feels a bit hazy throughout the film. Luke is on Dagobah training with Yoda and Han and Leia evades cloud city. The timeline with Han and Leia doesn’t take much time, almost a week. But Luke is seen training far longer. Does time work differently on Dagobah? Or did Luke just master everything in a week too? we are confused.
Edward Scissorhands:
A beautiful movie by Tim Burton that made us fall for Johnny Depp all over again. There is a breathtaking moment when Edward is making ice sculptures with his very skillful hands. The question here is where did he get the ice from? He lives alone and is isolated by society so where does he get the ice for his masterpieces? Tim Burton certainly neglected this detail that makes us question this classic movie.
