7 Men From Marvel Who Have Slept With Black Widow

Black Widow is someone who sure knows how to steal peoples’ hearts, no we aren’t only talking about the MCU version of Scarlett Johansson, who has made all her male, as well as female fans, go crazy for her, but the Character of Black Widow in general, MCU or otherwise. There are a lot of people whose hearts the Russian spy has captured, for some she actually had a thing for, but some were just playthings for her. Also, the list contains the one person to whom Black Widow actually gave her heart:

Iron Man

Marvel studios deliberately chose to start its cinematic universe with the Iron Man movie as they wanted the over-arching plot to revolve around Tony Stark/Iron Man. Their gamble has paid off and Iron Man has indeed become the sole anchor of the entire universe with other superheroes poured in as supporting characters. He is the most admirable and a recognizable face in the MCU, no wonder he carries a lot on his shoulders. Iron Man is a spoilt billionaire son turned superhero who joined “The Avengers” because it’s cool to save the world. He is the most popular Marvel superhero and in a way the sole anchor of the entire MCU with other superheroes poured in as supporting characters. He is an over-confident, impulsive guy with the high-IQ.

Natasha Romanov aka Black Widow was introduced into the MCU to sign up Mr. Stark for “The Avengers” initiative. In comics, she started off as a villain for Tony Stark, and the two go way back. Not just as enemies but also as lovers. Eventually, when Romanov joins the teams she gets down and dirty with the playboy Tony Stark, the two get as active in the sheets as they are on the field. Not just that, after Romanov betrayed the team, a sex tape of Tony and Natasha was released online, leaving Tony devastated.

Bucky Barnes

Bucky Barnes/ Winter Soldier is one of the most merciless super soldiers that sometimes even Captain America can’t handle alone. He was the best friend of Steve Rogers in Captain America: The First Avenger, they fought Nazis together in WW-II but then he turned rogue. After the successful launch of Captain America franchise, its sequel took it to the next level. It was more like an espionage thriller than a run-of-the-mill superhero outing. SHIELD was penetrated by HYDRA, and the Winter soldier was menacing as a villain. He again became part of Team Cap in Civil War. He was believed to be dead but it was revealed that he got resurrected years ago as “Winter Soldier”. Then he returned for Civil War and teamed up with Cap against Team Iron Man. In the end, he was put under cryo-sleep at Wakanda.

This fact has not been known by anyone for a long time because no one even knew that Bucky was alive all this time. Bucky, after coming back from the dead and being brainwashed into being the Winter Soldier by the Soviets actually met Natasha there, who too worked for them at that time. In Marvel comics, it is mentioned that the two had a small-time romantic relationship.

Daredevil

This one is quite a ‘Fault In Our Stars’ storyline, no no-one dies of cancer, but because these two can’t be together. In the beginning when Nat started to work with the Blind Vigilante, what happened was the two fell badly for each other. So much so that Daredevil even broke up with Karen Page, who had been his longest-serving love interest. But Natasha started to have a feeling of being just a mere sidekick both in his love life as well as in his superhero life and left him. Eventually, her memory goes and she again has feelings for Matt, but he is with another woman by that time. If there is someone who has actually stolen her heart, it has to be Matt Murdock.

Hawkeye

Hawkeye/Clint Barton was a skilled circus performer who became a thorough battle-ready and well-trained professional for combat and is part of “The Avengers”. He is also a family man who needs to look after them. He is an advanced archer who is adaptive and is comfortable with all projectiles. He has been training hard since his young age and is now a near perfect marksman. He arrived on the scene when he made an appearance in 2011’s Thor. In 2011’s “The Avengers” he was brainwashed by Loki and sided with him initially only to realize it later that he was mind-controlled. In Avengers: Age of Ultron, we met his family and he provided shelter to his fellow Avengers. In Civil War, he came back to oppose Sokovia accords and joined Team Cap.

Clint Barton was first seen in the comics as a villain who is also an accomplice of Black Widow. The two are lovers, actually, Hawkeye is the one who loves her, and she too eventually falls for him. The couple is a villainous duo, which later comes to join the Avengers. They have been in relationship multiple times and broken up multiple times.

The latest speculation is that Clint Barton aka Hawkeye may also follow in Cap’s footsteps. He will retire from active S.H.I.E.L.D duty and change his superhero identity to Ronin to fight Thanos. According to MCUExchange, one specific tragic event will shatter Clint Barton’s world and he will give up his identity as a Hawkeye and embrace a new secretive identity of Ronin. The inside sources are even saying that the event is so dark that it may well be cut during the editing process. The theory is that Thanos’ Black Order may target his family and murder all of them which would put him on a darker path.

Hulk

Bruce Banner’s romance with Natasha Romanoff is no secret to anyone. A sweet simple but fateful romance took place between the Hulk and Black Widow, in the MCU’s Avengers Age of Ultron. It was funny to see, how Black Widow, who was attacked by the Hulk in the first film is the one who is able to calm him down every time here. Talking about how they both are monsters in their own ways, Banner and Romanoff develop a special kind of love of their own.

The last we saw Hulk was in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) when he took the Quin-Jet and took off to an unknown location. In the Age of Ultron, Black Widow would sing “lullaby” to Hulk to calm him down and bring back Bruce Banner. He will come back as a gladiator champion at Planet Sakaar in Thor: Ragnarok where he will fight against Thor (God of Thunder) and then would go on a “cosmic road trip” with Thor and possibly return to Earth before Infinity war. The actress Scarlett Johansson has confirmed that there will be a reunion of Black Widow and The Hulk in the movie. The makers have not released any details about the circumstances of their meeting yet. In the recent interview with Inside The Actor’s Studio, Scarlett Johansson revealed that she was devastated on the day she shared the screen with Mark Ruffalo. She said:

“I just finished Avengers: Infinity War. The first one. My character has this ongoing relationship with Mark Ruffalo’s character. I had such devastation that day. I don’t know why. I was so devastated. It was something about this character that Mark plays, and this is something that should feel so solid and suddenly doesn’t. I don’t know, and it reminded me of so much of the things going on in my own life at the time. Just being able to bring all of that to work, and examine it and play with it, and then to have another actor to help you to understand it, it’s the best. I love it.”

Nick Fury

In comics, there have been many women who took up the mantle of Black Widow. Here the title belongs to Monica Chang, who was the ex-wife of the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Nick Fury. The couple developed a romantic relationship and had a son too, named Julius Chang. Their marriage ended because she found out that Nick was cheating on her with her friends as well as her own mother. But it ended well for her as it was her, not Nick who became the director of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Red Guardian

Alexei Shostakov was a Russian hero and the second person to take on the Red Guardian mantle. He married the Russian Spy and beauty, Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow. The KGB though both of them would make incredible spies for them and so,  Alexei was told to fake his death and Natasha was told that he died during an experiment. He was thought to be dead for many years but later returned with a code-name Ronin. Although his time with the KGB changed him completely. He became ruthless and cruel and he was nothing like what he was when with his wife Natasha. He later became the Red Guardian.
