DC already is a very dark universe, with a lot of gruesome deaths. Here are the top deaths listed for you:
Sarah Essen’s Death
Essen was James Gordon’s second wife, who was also a cop. Once, she manages to catch Joker on gunpoint, but there is an issue, that the clown prince of mayhem has dozens of infants as hostages. He then tosses an infant towards Sarah, who out of the reflex of her nature drops her gun to catch the baby. Joker then picks up the gun and shoots her in the head.
Nora Allen’s Death
Okay, this is the fucking reason why the whole Flashpoint was created. Nora Allen is killed by the Reverse Flash, Eobard Thawne, the eternal enemy of the Flash. It is to prevent this death that Barry goes into the timeline and turns the world into shit, with a lot many changes such as Superman being skinny, Batman- a killer, Wonder Woman and Aquaman well screwing and killing each other etc.
Batman Killed By Darkseid
Batman’s death here was a surprise to all, as he was considered too cool to die. In his final confrontation with Darkseid, the Dark Knight fires a radion bullet at him, the same bullet that killed Orion and severely wounds the villain. But moments later, he is killed by Dark Sied’s Omega Beam.
Thomas and Martha Wayne
Obviously, he had to make it to the list as it was he, who became the trendsetter for the whole orphan turns into a superhero story. Not that this story needs to be told, but still… After his parents are killed in an alley by a gunman, Bruce gets completely into the whole ‘why do criminals exist’ ‘what is their driving force’ thing and soon takes on the mantle of Batman.
Joker Kills 5 Million People In Metropolis
Of course, the clown Prince of Mayhem had to be on this list. Joker is pure evil and has done a lot of sinister stuff. Over his career, he has killed hundreds and thousands of people, not even leaving the children. His greatest blow was making Supes kill Lois triggering a bomb and killing over 5 million people in Metropolis.
Superman Kills Lois
Under the influence of the drug of the Scarecrow, given to Supes by the Joker, the Man Of Steel kills Lois thinking of her to be Doomsday. What was worse than he, out of his mind yet again, when comes to his senses, he realizes that there are two heartbeats coming from the body of the woman. The second of his unborn child who he killed.
Darkseid Killed By Black Flash
In the storyline ‘The Darkseid War’ Anti-Monitor and Darkseid are at the opposite ends, fighting and in between the two, there are the Justice League and the Crime Syndicate. This happens and Darkseid summons the Black racer to kill the Anti-Monitor, what happens next is that the Anti-Monitor gets his Black Racer-Flash hybrid who guts Darkseid making him scream, “The anti-life equation is in my veins”
Superman Kills Kalibak
In the Injustice: Gods Among Us, storyline when Superman is corrupted after he by mistake kills Lois and his unborn kid resulting in the total destruction of Metropolis, he becomes a ruthless dictator. At that time Kalibak, Darkseid’s son attacks, worst time bro, what happens next is that Supes with his amazing strength kills Kalibak.
Batman Dies Every day
Well, Joker has taken more from Bats than anyone, no one else has the guts to chop the hands of Bruce’s butler, kill his protege, or kidnap the entire Bat-family, but the time when he actually killed the Bat himself was in Emperor Joker, where the clown had the powers of a God, that he and he tortured and killed and resurrected the Dark Knight every day.
Joker Kills Jason Todd
Out of everything that the Joker has done, killing Jason Todd was arguably the worst thing that he did. He traps the second Robin’s long lost mother and when he comes to save her, beats him to a pulp, with a crowbar. Not just that, he leaves him there with a time bomb, and blows him up just before Batman can get there. Todd later returns as the Red Hood though.
