Avengers, as we all know, is the team basically having Captain America and Iron Man in it, with them, many other superheroes come together to form a team and take on bad dudes. There are much more versions of this team that might be new to most of you. Here are some of them:
A-Force
This was the fist all women Avengers group. The team had Dazzler, Captain Marvel, She-Hulk, Medusa and a totally new character Singularity. They all were tasked to protect the world from the evil rule of various criminals. Sure these girls showed their male counterparts how the beating and cleaning are done.
The Ultimates
This here was the arc where Captain America, Tony Stark, Giant Man, Wasp, and Thor have to take down the Hulk, the team then recruits more Avengers such as Scarlett Witch, Black Widow, and Hawkeye. Amongst the first few missions of the team, they stop the Chitauri invasion.
Avengers Prime
While DC has Batsy Supes and the Wonder Woman, Marvel to has its share of A grade Avengers coming together to fight as a trio. Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man come together to form the Avengers Prime, this trio was formed after the ‘Civil War’ when there is the siege of Asgard. This not just serves as a time for them to showcase their teamwork skills but also a time for Iron Man and Captain America to mend their relations after the events of Civil War.
Dark Avengers
When Norman Osborn took over S.H.I.E.L.D. and renamed it H.A.M.M.E.R., he created the team The Dark Avengers, he himself got to be the Iron Patriot, whilst had many more villainous characters in the team such as Noh Varr, Mac Gargan’s Venom as well as Wolverine’s psychotic son, Daken.
New Avengers
This team was formed after the “Avengers Disassembled” arc, the team had Luke Cage, Skrull Queen as Spider-Woman, Iron Man and Spider-Man. The team had a basic rule, to take on any challenge that a single superhero can’t face, with that and their base of operations at Tony’s top floor the team gets into action.
