Game of Thrones: This Crazy Fan Theory Says “Ned Stark is Alive”

It’s been six seasons of Game of Thrones, and we have lost many of our beloved characters since it began in the year 2011. In the debut season itself, the show-makers beheaded the central character of the series – Lord Eddard Stark leaving us fans, particularly House Stark cheerleaders, shell-shocked and aghast at the audacity of D&D. It was truly a spectacle in the history of television to be able to pull that off in the very first season. In the subsequent seasons, many important characters died horribly, including some good men and women who lost their lives as they fell victim to someone’s treachery and betrayal.

There isn’t a single soul who watch Game of Thrones and didn’t mourn Ned Stark’s death. He was the most honourable Knight in Westeros who got caught in the crosshairs of power play at King’s Landing and consequently paid the price for sticking to his principles of honour and loyalty.

The fans of Game of Thrones have often wondered if there is a holy well or a place, something similar to Lazarus pit which is situated at Nanda Parbat to help resurrect the dead. In shows like Arrow on CW network, characters have returned many times. Should something like that exist in Game of Thrones universe? Ofcose, there is Red God or Night’s King who can revive the dead through their knowledge of mysticism. Melisandre, the worshipper of Red God resurrected Jon Snow after he was stabbed to death by his own men. If George RR Martin had imagined holy waters like Lazarus Pit which can bring people back from the dead, it would have given show-makers much leeway and ability to surprise audiences.

House Stark loyalists among GOT fan community will be thrilled to see him once again as he represented the force for good. Well….guess what.. there is one crazy fan out there who thinks he is still alive.

Well….guess what…there is one crazy fan out there who thinks he is still alive. A YouTube channel “Fire & Blood” which has a decent number of subscribers is claiming that it wasn’t Lord Eddard Stark who was beheaded at the stakes. The crux of the theory is that his daughters Arya and Sansa mentioned how their father looked different, so the theory then suggests that it was actually Jaqen H’ghar wearing Ned’s face on the chopping block.

In season 6, we did see faces of all including Ned Stark at the House of Black and White. So if Jaqen died in Season 1, who was the guy Arya met in season 2? According to the theory, it was Syrio Forel who masqueraded as Jaqen and helped Arya Stark escape King’s Landing unscathed. Also, he wasn’t hacked to death by Ser Meryn Trant so he came back again in season 6.
