5 Times Marvel and DC Supervillains Behaved Like Good Guys

The world is divided into two kinds of people – the good and the evil, and so are the comics. There are superheroes (the good guys) who save the day from supervillains (the evil) even at a great personal sacrifice. But sometimes the world is turned upside down, and the bad guys behave like good guys for once.

Here’s a list of moments when the greatest comic-book supervillains demonstrated kindness or goodness in their behavior:

The Joker:

Once in order to strike an actual conversation with Batman, Joker attempted to tell him a joke and even succeeded in making Batman laugh briefly (yes…it’s possible) and then Batman kills him and we didn’t get to hear the joke.

Doc Ock:

He is one of the most dangerous Spiderman villains, but he did save the city when he overpowered his arms in Spiderman 2. He inhabited Peter Parker’s body and did some good work although he had ulterior motives. Then he dies.

Bane:

In the Dark Knight Rises, Bane could have snapped the neck of Batman entirely and ended it there and then. But he spared his life by just breaking his back and gave him an opportunity to rise up again. There is a fan theory which says that Bane was always on Batman’s side and he was just brainwashed by Talia Al Ghul and the League of Assassins.

Venom:

He is a permanent enemy of Spiderman, much stronger and superior to him, beaten him multiple times. But every time there is a threat of Carnage, Venom stepped up and prevented him from destroying everything.

Magneto:

supervillains

He is one of the most powerful mutants in the X-Men universe. He has shared a love-hate relationship with Prof. Charles Xavier, came to his rescue many times in comics. He also saved Kitty Pride (played by Ellen Page in the movies) and even injured himself doing that.
