Thanos is surely a mighty titan, but his powers grow tenfold after wearing the Infinity Gauntlet. Even the mighty Avengers are like ants to the guy and meet their end by his hands. Here are some of the most shocking deaths by the hands of Thanos while wearing the Infinity Gauntlet:
Scarlet Witch
Wanda Maximoff is one of the most powerful mutants in the Marvel universe. She with her mystic hex powers is even able to rewrite the reality, so when going up against, she’s one tough cookie to break. Or so we thought. She attacks Thanos with her hex powers, which the mighty Titan pushes back at her, leaving Wanda to die of her own attack.
Cyclops
Well, the leader of the X-Men had teamed up with Wanda, and it didn’t end up well for any of them. After Wanda’s death, a still analytical Cyclops rushes towards Thanos with his optic beams, does some damage, but nearly not enough. Thanos creates a clear block around Cyclops’ face, which starts suffocating him. Neither Captain America is able to help him in time and neither are his optic blasts of any use.
Iron Man
This might come as a shock to most of the readers that one of the founding members of the Avengers, Iron Man met his fate in a pretty unceremonious way, his head is chopped off by Terraxia, Thanos’ recently created lover. His head after which is in Terraxia’s hand, which she’s holding and laughing at. In the following pages of the comics too, his head can be seen rolling on the ground.
Captain America
There is something about the leader of the Avengers, though if we go strategically and on a power based lever, he holds no chance against Thanos, his determination, and the tricks up his sleeve make us feel otherwise. “As long as one man stands against you, you’ll never be able to claim victory.” this is what Cap says to Thanos. Who after almost being stripped of the gauntlet breaks the Cap’s neck with a backhand to it. And that is the end for the high-spirited Avenger.
Wolverine
Where are those days when we were under the impression that people’s favorite X-Men, Wolverine is unbreakable? In the first squad that attacks Thanos, it is Wolverine who people think has the highest chance to kill the mad Titan. He even digs his claws under Thanos’ skin, which the mighty titan easily shrugs off and turns Wolverine’s adamantium bone structure to rubber. His twisted, mangled body sure is a hard sight to watch.
