The world is not just black and white, there are some gray areas too. There are people who change from good to bad and those too who change from bad to good. Here mentioned are some of the Marvel superheroes who were once supervillains.
Black Widow
Natasha Romanoff aka Natasha Romanova first appeared as an antagonist in the comics. She is a Russian, who was raised by the Department X program for orphan girls, turning into becoming trained spies. Natasha is trained in the red room, enhanced physically and psychologically and is brainwashed. It took her years to get out of her psychological trauma. But later she becomes a part of the Avengers.
Hawkeye
Hawkeye is shown to be jealous of all the attention given to Iron Man after he saves some bystanders at Coney Island, where he works as a marksman and is really underappreciated. He too decides of becoming a hero and makes his own costume, In order to catch a thief from robbing, he himself gets mistaken for one and that is how his criminal career begins. He works with Black Widow against Iron Man. But soon turns good and joins the Avengers.
Rogue
Rogue had a pretty rough childhood, starting when her powers first manifested. The young mutant put her boyfriend in a coma after kissing him. She is eventually recruited by Mystique for the Brotherhood of Mutants. During one escape, she absorbs the powers of Captain Marvel, so much so that she is able to fly. She later joins the X-Men.
Emma Frost
She is first seen as the White Queen of the Hellfire Club in the X-Men series ‘The Dark Phoenix’ where they try to take control of Jean, the plan backfires greatly though. Later she is rescued by the X-Men and eventually joins. She probably has a longer romantic relationship with Cyclops than even Jean Grey.
Gambit
Gambit’s change from a villain to a hero was slow. Adopted by the Le Beau clan, he is into wrongdoings since childhood. Mr. Sinister increases his abilities and he works for him, but later there is a change of conscience and he becomes a thief. Wow! What an improvement, he does a lot of good deeds though, saves Storm when she’s a teen too. But eventually, joins the X-Men and becomes an integral part of it.
