Well well well, fans don’t seem to get enough of the rivalries that DC and Marvel are giving them already. Be it Batman VS Superman or be it Civil War, both were based on epic sagas and while the former was not so well received by the critics, the latter enjoyed great reviews from fans and critics alike. Comic books’ fans love arguing over which of their favorite heroes is stronger and who would be able to beat whom, given the opportunity. While more common match-ups have included Batman vs. Superman and even Wonder Woman vs Superman, there’s a large chunk of fans who’ve pondered over the issue relating to a fight between Wonder Woman and Thor, seeing both of them have quite a lot in common.
In a recent interview with Yahoo! News anchor Katie Couric, Wonder Woman protagonist Gal Gadot was asked who would win in the duel if Thor and Wonder Woman were to fight. Gadot took a moment to answer, and then passed the question over to Thor: Ragnarok’s Chris Hemsworth.
“They ask me who would win, Wonder Woman or Thor,”, said Gadot. “And I think it’s Wonder Woman. Don’t you, Chris?” And what a sport Hemsworth is, responding to her with an answer many may be astonished listening to. The actor was more than willing to surrender the title of strength over to Wonder Woman, claiming the Amazonian princess would prove triumphant if they were ever to fight.
While there is almost no probability that comic book fans will ever get to see a battle between the two godly heroes on the big screen, Thor and Wonder Woman have met before, at those moments where Marvel and DC came together, like the Avengers/JLA crossover.
Though in that issue, Thor fought Superman, it would be quite interesting to witness Princess of the Amazons face off against the son of Odin. After all, they do have a lot in common, be it the enchanted weaponry they have or be it them being magical beings in nature.
