Game of Thrones: 4 Possible Heirs to Stannis Baratheon’s Property

Previously, we saw Brienne swinging her sword and supposedly beheading Stannis Baratheon (played by Stephen Dillane), she executed a death sentence on him and avenged the life of Renly Baratheon killed by a shadow monster. Although his dead body wasn’t shown, but show-makers have now confirmed that he is dead and they did that to give him an honorable exit. But this raises a big question as to who will be the heir to Stannis Baratheon as Princess Shireen is dead too. Here is a list of possible heirs to his holdings at Storm’s End and the rest in the House Baratheon:

Iron Bank:

The Iron Bank lent huge sums of money to Stannis Baratheon so that he could buy horses and swords for his campaign to win the Battle of Winterfell. But as his soldiers deserted him, Boltons outsmarted him and defeated him, the Iron Bank could seize the holdings at Storm’s End in an effort to recover their debts owed to House Baratheon.

Tommen Baratheon:

Tommen was supposed to be the rightful heir to Stannis Baratheon’s property. Until it’s proved that he was an offspring of Cersei and Jaime, he had the right to inherit holdings at the Stormlands. But he’s dead too.

Gendry Baratheon:

Technically, he would have a more legitimate claim to Storm’s End if he were to show up at King’s Landing as he is King Robert’s true heir.

Daenerys Targaryen:

It’s possible that Iron Bank decides to fund Daenerys‘ campaign in the future and let her use Storm’s End as a base in the South to invade Westeros, conquer it and sit on Iron Throne. She can then repay the debts owed to Iron Bank. (I know it’s a long shot but you never know).

Game of Thrones season 7 is set to premiere on July 16, 2017 on HBO.
