Avengers: Infinity War will be the biggest, grandest and most expensive Marvel film yet. It is set to see the old characters returns but in addition to that, new amazing characters will also join the ranks. Initially, Avengers may have started as a small team idea including Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow and Hawk-Eye as teammates but the roster keeps on expanding with new characters. Age of Ultron saw the likes of Vision, Scarlet Witch, and War Machine become a part of the Avengers Initiative. Also, we know Guardians of the Galaxy will also crossover with them.
As exciting as this seems, we are sure to see some new characters as well joining these superhero’s ranks. Dave Bautista, who portrays Drax the Destroyer in Guardians of the Galaxy in an interview told that:
“Those are the prominent Avengers that have been in all the films, but they’re really just adding so many characters in this. ‘Cuz they’re also starting to introduce other characters like they did in Captain America [Civil War]. They’ve brought in Spider-Man. But they’re going to start moving into different phases of Marvel. So they’re introducing other characters. Black Panther. They’re gonna go a whole series of Black Panther.”
Brie Larson is in the lead in this race. She has been roped in to play Captain Marvel and should be an important character to fight the mighty Thanos. Also, we can look forward to the introduction of Adam Warlock. One of the biggest addition to the cast is Peter Dinklage, (aka Tyrion Lannister) in an yet unrevealed role. So his character could be the one Bautista, is teasing here.
We will only have to wait and find out for ourselves in 2018 with the release of Avengers: Infinity War. This news is exciting for fans as it brings a series of new characters and the Marvel Universe keeps on spreading.
