The MIND BLOWING Reason Why Spider-Man Will Not Fight In Homecoming

Marvel movies have been known to bring on a bit of violence into its films. It is one of the elements that makes it a Marvel film. Of course, the studio has received a lot of criticism for it due to their young target audiences. The movies are rated PG-13, but a lot of hand on hand combat, killing of people in planes, cars, and other vehicles are shown. Who could forget the fight between Iron-Man and Captain America or the destruction of an entire family in Guardians of the Galaxy? The latter made the record for the most deaths in a film! Spider-Man: Homecoming  will be a cut among the rest by becoming the hero who will not throw a single punch.

Spider-Man actor Tom Holland explained the reason in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter. Holland said:

“You’ve seen the billionaire, the scientist, the soldier. Now it’s time to see the kid. And every decision we make on set is based off how would a kid react in this situation, so every fight scene we have is designed in a way that’s almost child-friendly, so he never actually punches anyone. It’s all done kind of by accident. I think the biggest difference is his youth and innocence.”

Holland’s explanation is reasonable if you look at Peter Parker’s appearance. The new film focuses on a Parker who is closer to the comic which shows Parker being more of a nerdy kid than a muscle added fighter. Parker would most likely use his web shooters, his fast reflexes, and other superpowers to beat his enemies in combat. He would be more of a tactical fighter.

Of course, you might be thinking of the super strength that Spider-Man showcased in Captain America: Civil War. It looks like the reason for the “no punches”has to do much more with a fresher take on the established superhero, as well as setting an example that Marvel cinematic Universe is expanding on its formulaic movies from Phase 1 and 2.
