RIC FLAIR, the legendary 16-time World Champion believes that Bill Goldberg’s decision of making a comeback in WWE to fight Brock Lesnar is not a good idea at all as he believes that he (Goldberg) won’t be able to handle the ‘Suplex City’. He had returned to the ring for the 1st time in twelve years on Monday Night Raw to answer Brock Lesnar’s challenge to face him in a rematch. The last match that they had was at the Wrestlemania 20 in 2004, a match that Goldberg had won & it turned out to be his last bout until now. Goldberg received a warm welcome on the Monday Night but Rick Flair believes that getting back in the ring with “The Beast” will not going to be that easy.
The “Nature Boy” said:
“The truth is I think Bill would be a nice addition, but, I mean, when you’ve been out of the business as long as he has, here’s the same deal: you’re wrestling Brock Lesnar, brother. That’s not a way to start out. It just isn’t. Do you know what I’m saying?
“Not that Bill’s fragile by any means, but when you’ve been away that long, your body hasn’t been in the ring, that’s why I say all the time, ‘time off is a wrestler’s worst enemy’.
“And he [has] been off a long time and to jump in there against Brock who is in peak condition all the time, because of his dual roles, either MMA or professional wrestling, he stays in top shape and I don’t know that Bill has.
“Bill looks great, but I haven’t seen him in the ring, so it’s a tough call. I think it’ll be interesting for the fans, but I’m glad it’s not me getting in there with Brock. I’ve been there and done that, man.”
The Beast is 10 times more aggressive than he was when he had his last match with Goldberg which adds on to the danger. To make it even worse, Lesnar’s beast mode is on and he’s on a winning streak.
