With each year passing, Marvel Cinematic Universe is rolling out new plans and bringing new characters in films and on television. With a procession of heroes in films and the sheer level of adaptation from comics, the franchise has already built a traction of users worldwide. As MCU plans more movies in the next decade, it would need to recruit more actors for its comic characters. Looking closely into the MCU films, you might not know that some characters seem to be under-utilised. Some of the characters are not utilized like Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and Hulk. Colonel James “Rhodey” Rhodes The character of Colonel James ‘Rhodey’ Rhodes was originally played by Terence Howard, the character served as a close friend to Tony Stark - played by Robert Downey Jr. In Iron Man 2, Don Cheadle was recast in the film in the place of Howard. Rhodes worked in five MCU movies. He was not a superhero until he became War Machine in Iron Man 2. In the middle of the drunken episode, Rhodes dons one of the Iron Man suits to defeat Tony. In all the movies he has come he is given less to do. 2. Red Skull - Johann Schmidt Undoubtedly, MCU has not worked well with villains and always kept on showing superheroes and their journey. Well, Red Skull neither meet cold to the death nor underdeveloped by the bad guys. Red Skull assisted Captain America through the first solo film. The character has the strong sense of military tactics whoever stand against him. He is seen less in action in the end of The First Avenger. And is wasted in MCU. 3. Jane Foster Natalie Portman made her debut in Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, Thor. She played the role of Jane Foster. She has depicted a supporting character to Thor. But she does not help Thor in the first movie, but rather acted as an information source for him. Well, her portrayal of the character is not liked and has pretty less work do to. As per the reports, it was revealed that would not be seen in Thor Ragnarok, as she failed to connect with the audience. 4. Ronan Created by legendary Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Ronan first appeared in Fantastic Four #65 in 1967. He is known for playing the main villain in 2014's Guardians of The Galaxy. He joins hands with Thanos to destroy the planet of Xander. He is one of the most wasted villains in Marvel and he is way beyond being evil. Not only that, he is one of the strongest villains. 5. Hulk The ultimate smasher of the Marvel, who was well-received for his appearance in The Avengers movies, is one of the most wasted superheroes. First of all, he will never get his solo movie and the portrayal of character's potential has always been underwhelming. As Thor: Ragnarok will feature a Planet Hulk storyline and we can expect some action.
