Zack Snyder Just Dropped A Clue For New Justice League Villains

Apart from Steppenwolf, it seems like Justice League will be gaining two new villains. The news comes on the heels of director Zack Snyder’s recent post on Twitter. The director has been known to drop hints to fans in the past and it does not seem like he’s stopping. He had posted in the past pictures of the new Commissioner Gordon and Batman’s new utility suit.

It had been confirmed that Steppenwolf would be the main villain for Justice League, but now, two more villains can be added to the list. Snyder posted a picture of himself in partial Batman cosplay in the act of storyboarding a scene. On close inspection of the storyboard that the director is working on (via a fan’s talented photoshop) it can be seen that the scene features the future Batman villain Deathstroke.

Deathstroke who is to be played by actor Joe Manganiello had recently reported being in London where Justice League is shooting, so it is not too surprising to find out that Deathstroke will be a part of the Justice League movie. It also makes a lot of sense for the mercenary to be in the film as it could lead to a continuation of a story line for the solo Batman movie. Snyder is also an executive producer on the tentatively titled “The Batman.”

Jesse Eisenberg who played Lex Luthor in Batman Vs Superman is also set to reprise his role in the Justice League movie. There are speculations that Deathstroke’s introduction could be a result of Luthor hiring the mercenary assassin to do some bad things to Batman and Wonder Woman. Although Luthor is often linked with Superman, who last time he was on screen sacrificed himself for the greater good and his future league members. What the combination of Luthor and Deathstroke will bring to the new movie is all just speculation at this point.
