In the Legends of Tomorrow season 1 finale, Rex Tyler from Justice Society of America (JSA was the first major DC Comic written by Geoff Johns) appeared at the last minute, he is played by Patrick J. Adams. He is the valued member of All-Squad Squadron. He was raised in upstate New York, had an extreme fondness for sciences, discovered a path-breaking chemical called Miraclo (somewhat similar to the Velocity-9 drug), became the superhero but he could use his superhero abilities only for an hour. He is also sometimes called “Hourman”. He is a series regular for season 2. Dr. Nate Heywood has been added to the cast, his grandfather Henry Heywood was Commander Steel (a member of JSA). He will be played by Nick Zano. He is also known as “Citizen Steel”. We will also see Stargirl, Obsidian, Dr. Midnight and Vixen.
The executive producer Marc Guggenheim said “In Season 2, the composition of the team is going to change; there will be some new faces on the Wave-rider. The season finale planted some very significant flags in terms of what the new concept of the show will be in season 2. The team’s mission statement for Season 2 is more compelling than Season 1, and at the same time, it is more streamlined. It’s a little bit higher concept, a very clean notion that will allow the show to do things that it does best.”
Recently, the show-makers have announced Legion of Doom storyline for the upcoming season. The most fascinating thing about Legion of Doom is they didn’t have comic book origins, instead they first appeared on a Justice League animation movie in 1970’s called as “Superfriends”. In the show, it will consist of Time Criminals Reverse Flash/Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) and Damien Darhk (Neal Mcdonough). The story is set in 1940’s where we will meet Damien Darhk, Reverse Flash will time-travel to join Darhk whereas Malcolm Merlyn and Captain Cold will either be brought back or they will meet in a different timeline. Flashpoint is happening… keep that in mind…everything is possible…CHEERS!
