Here’re DC Comicbook Characters Who Will Make Harley Quinn’s Life a Living Hell

Harley Quinn gained a level of relevance this year that she may never really experience again. The comic book character was the saving grace of this year’s Suicide Squad and Margot Robbie, who plays Quinn in the movie was touted as the breakout star of the year. So it not surprising to hear that a Harley Quinn solo movie was in the works, with Robbie in the producer’s chair as well.  harley-quinn-margot-robbie

A new report from The Wrap confirmed that Harley Quinn’s solo movie is getting along positively. The movie found Christina Hudson as their new screenwriter. Hudson has recently been linked to the upcoming Transformer’s spin off Bumblebee. The site also confirmed that a rumor closely associated with the Harley Quinn movie was coming true. The female superhero team Birds Of Prey were also set to be in the new solo feature.

Harley Quinn has a long history with Birds Of Prey. The trio comprised of Batgirl, Black Canary, and Huntress. In the comics, Quinn was always involved one way or the other with the trio. She was the villain that often got away from them. Their inclusion may be a step further for DCEU in their expansion of more female superheroes from the comic world. The studio had previously announced of a Wonder Woman film being released in 2017, and now it seems like the new Harley Quinn is joining that momentum. Much like the Wonder Woman film, it also seems like the studio may have formed a winning formula of hiring women writers and directors for their female lead projects.

Harley Quinn DC

DC has attempted to introduce Birds Of Prey before when it produced a series of the same name in 2002-2003. The series revolved around the team trying to catch supervillains and Harley Quinn was their number one target. Unfortunately, the early 2000’s was not ready for a DCEU series, even though Smallville was doing pretty well. With this new information about Harley Quinn’s movie, it seems as DC is trying to amend for their past wrongdoings.
