Won the Miss World Pageant
After finishing second in Femina Miss India contest of 2000, Priyanka Chopra went on to Miss World Pageant in 2000. She was only the fifth contestant from India to win the crown. After that, there was no looking back for Pee Cee. She got recognition and started receiving film offers.
Breakthrough performance in Aitraaz
It had been 4 years since she was crowned Miss World and after movies like Andaaz and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Priyanka had arrived. Though her breakthrough performance was seen in Aitraz (2004) where she played the antagonist. Her style and seduction were the highlight of the film. She won many accolades for her performance in a negative role.

Her first single, “In My City” sold more than 130,000 copies in the first week itself. She even received the People’ Choice Award for Best Debut later that year. Her second song “Exotic” featuring Pitbull debuted at number 16 on Billboard List in July 2013. Her latest song “I Can’t Make you Love me” peaked at 28 in the Billboard List in April 2014.
International Television and Hollywood
Priyanka Chopra was signed by ABC Studios in 2014 in a talent holding deal. In 2015 she was cast in Quantico. The show focuses on the life of FBI agents who undergo training at Quantico, Virginia.
She was recently cast in the 2017 Hollwyood Action/Comedy film, Baywatch in a major role!
