Pokémon is one of the most popular anime series in the world. The show started in 1997 in Japan and is managed by The Pokémon Company which is a Japanese consortium between Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures. Although the franchise’s copyright is shared by all three companies, but Nintendo is the sole owner of the trademark.
Pokemon first came into the scene in the late 1990s through the Game Boy as a video game. It was followed by an anime series and five theatrical movies have been released so far. For all these years, the Pokemon fans had been eagerly waiting for a live action movie and thankfully it was great. Now we can get more future films like these.
The name of the show means pocket monsters and was created by Satoshi Tajiri in 1995. The term Pokémon collectively refers to all the 809 fictional characters that have appearances in the series.
