Road to Perdition

Road to Perdition is directed by Sam Mendes and was released in the year 2002. The movie tells the story of a mob hitman named Michael Sullivan (Tom Hanks) who seeks revenge upon another mob hitman Connor Rooney (Daniel Craig) who kills his son and wife. But the particular scene in which Sullivan ambushes his former Boss John Rooney (Paul Newman) and kills his guys from the shadows is one the greatest revenge moments of all times.

Office Space

Office Space is directed by Mike Judge and was released in the year 1999. The movie tells the story of a group of dissatisfied employees trying to swindle their company and Milton Waddams played by Stephen Root delivers many of the laughs. His character is obsessed with his swing line stapler and has also mentioned that he would even burn down the whole office if he gets pushed too far.  At the end, what we see is the company burning down to the ground and Milton enjoys his holiday sitting on a tropical beach.

Kill Bill: Vol. 2

Kill Bill: Vol. 2 is directed by Quentin Tarantino and was released in the year 2004. You all know that violence is the trademark of Tarantino films and this Kung Fu classic is no different. Both the movies in the series showcase The Bride’s (Uma Thurman) revenge against the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad. The Last of the Mohicans

The Last of the Mohicans is directed by Michael Mann and was released in the year 1992. It’s really hard to hate Daniel Day-Lewis movies and if you like revenge movies, you shouldn’t miss this one. Daniel Day-Lewis and his crew finally track down Magua (the unlikable native warrior) in the climax fight scene and it’s truly epic. He is so unlikeable due to his evil acts throughout the movie and you feel so much satisfied and happy when he is finally captured and beaten to a pulp.

Braveheart

Braveheart is directed by Mel Gibson and was released in the year 1995. In terms of satisfying vengeance, Brave truly deserves a place in our list. During a pivotal battle against the English, our hero William Wallace (Mel Gibson) gets betrayed by one of the Scottish Nobles. William beats the Noble to death with a mace after riding into his bedroom on a horse as he was not ready to forget and forgive the betrayal. Even though the scene has high graphic content, it’s a really satisfying one.

Gangs of New York

Gangs of New York is directed by Martin Scorsese and was released in the year 2002. Some critics were not satisfied with the movie, but we are not going to care about them as we are here for revenge. The final clash between Bill ‘The Butcher’ Cutting (Daniel Day-Lewis) and Amsterdam Vallon is truly phenomenal and epic. The vengeance is shown throughout the final clash in the most appropriate way and you will definitely love the way how it ends.

The Shawshank Redemption is directed by Frank Darabont and was released in the year 1994. You might be wondering how a movie which is well known for inspiring millions throughout the years is in our top list. Even though Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins) finally adapts to the prison life, it gets really hard for him due to the corrupt prison warden Samuel. During Dufresne’s period in prison, Samuel uses him to launder money. But Dufresne ultimately escapes from the prison and blows the cover on Samuel’s scandalous ways. Samuel finally kills himself when the police were about to catch him.
