Marvel comics have a huge comicography filled with great stories. But some story arcs are memorable than others, here are the five best Marvel comic storylines of all time.
The Infinity Gauntlet: 
Infinity Gauntlet is the story of Thanos who falls in love with the embodiment of death. In an effort to win his love’s affection, Thanos collects the Infinity Gems in order to assemble the Infinity Gauntlet. With the combined powers of the Infinity Gems, Thanos nearly obtains omnipotence-the ability to do anything he wants to the universe. The Titan king ends up killing half of the Marvel universe to impress Death.
The Dark Phoenix Saga:
Before the Dark Phoenix Saga, Jean Grey did not play a huge role in the X-Men storylines except being the love interest of Cyclops and Wolverine. Readers just did not know the height of her powers. But after the villain, Mastermind captured Jean, fans got to witness how powerful she truly was. Gone was the X-Men member that everyone knew, and in came a corrupted soul with too much power that the X-Men had ever seen.
The Night Gwen Stacy Died:
Death in comic books is usually very fleeting. The characters may have felt the loss but there is little to no impact. In the case of Gwen Stacy, that did not happen. As Spider-Man/Peter Parker’s love interest, Gwen Stacy pushed the hero to be a better person than he thought he could be. In Death Of Gwen Stacy, the Green Goblin, who abducts Spider-Man’s girlfriend Gwen Stacy; during their battle, she falls off a bridge and dies, despite Spider-Man catching her before she hits the water. Her death shook the entire Marvel comic book community and has been called the marker of the end of the silver age of comic books.
Marvels:
Marvels is a fresh take on what life looks like when the world is full of superheroes. The four-part miniseries concentrated on how an everyman’s life is affected by the existence of superheroes. In Marvels, Phil Sheldon is a photographer whose career started at around the same time that superheroes began to appear in New York City. His victories and his failures are all interlinked with Marvel heroes like The Avengers, The Fantastic Four, Spider-Man and the Defenders.
Daredevil: Born Again
Frank Miller made a name for himself in the Marvel comic world as the man who brought a mature aesthetic into the medium. With Daredevil: Born again, he showcased why he is considered as the best. Born again Daredevil’s descent into insanity and destitution at the hands of the Kingpin, as well as his subsequent struggle to build a new life for himself.
The Winter Soldier:
The Winter Soldier showcased a side of Captain America that fans had never seen before. Steve Rogers was in a state of crisis of every kind in the story, as he comes in contact with ghosts from his past. Set in the pace of a spy/political thriller, The Winter Soldier showcased the possibility that Captain America could actually be blind regarding his purpose in life. The series was best known for reviving Captain America’s World War II partner Bucky as the Winter Soldier in issue #6, the presumed death of Steve Rogers in issue #25, and Bucky taking over the mantle of Captain America in issue #34.
