Based on this horrific chapter in history, Russian diet guru, Alex Siry developed a diet plan where you eat 400 grams of bread and 100 grams of vodka per day. That was the rations for a Russian soldier at this time.

Cabbage Soup Diet

Drink only the broth made from water and cabbage, that’s it, don’t worry that it has almost no nutritional value and that it tastes like shit, think of how high in fiber it is! You will lose weight, but as soon as you start eating whole foods again, it comes right back.

This is a good one. Swallow capsules that contain the eggs of a beef tapeworm, women did it back in the 1800’s. Recently, however, a woman bought some of these capsules off the internet hoping to lose weight. What she got, though, was a 30-foot parasite that had to be removed surgically. Sound good?

We all know that we should chew our food thoroughly, but in the 1800’s, Horace Fletcher advised people to chew all of their food at least 100 times before swallowing.

An added benefit to this besides its reported ability to make you lose weight is it made your do less stinky. That’s a good reason in itself, isn’t it?

The Cookie Diet

Sounds perfect, doesn’t it? In the ’70’s, a Florida doctor named Sanford Siegal baked amino acids into cookies and told people to eat six of them a day. This equated to around 800 calories. Guess what people? If you eat 800 calories a day, you will lose weight!

The Baby Food Diet

Replace two of your meals a day with jarred baby food. You will lose weight and detox at the same time. Never mind that it has only 600 calories. It works for a healthy 18-pound baby, doesn’t it?

So there are 7 diet plans that you shouldn’t do. But what do I know? Go ahead and try one or all of them. Because all that really matters is fitting into those skinny jeans right?

Or, join a gym, develop a healthy nutrition plan, put in some work and dedication and do things the right way. It’s your choice.
