A Clockwork Orange is written and directed by Stanley Kubrick and was released in the year 1971. The star cast of the movie includes Malcolm McDowell, Patrick Magee, Adrienne Corri, and Miriam Karlin. The movie is based on Anthony Burgess’s 1962 novel of the same name. The movie tells the story of Alex and his gang of thugs whose main interest areas are classical music, rape, and other stuff related to violence. The lead actor Malcolm McDowell said that he had seen many people walking away from the theaters due to the ultra-violent contents in the movie. Many people in England imitated these characters and a number of crimes were reported which made the studio remove the movie from theaters.

The Exorcist is directed by William Friedkin and was released in the year 1973. The star cast of the movie includes Ellen Burstyn, Max Von Sydow, Lee J. Cobb, and Kitty Winn. The movie tells the story of a 12-year-old girl being possessed by a demon and her mother tries to bring back her to a normal life with the help of two priests who are well known for exorcism. The movie was marketed as ‘something never seen before’ and exact thing happened. Many moviegoers were shocked and horrified like anything and left the theaters as they could not handle it anymore. The Exorcist is considered as one of the best horror movies ever made.

Reservoir Dogs was Quentin Tarantino’s directorial debut and was released in the year 1992. The star cast of the movie includes Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Chris Penn, Steve Buscemi, Lawrence Tierney, and Michael Madsen. The movie focuses on a diamond heist and the events that occurred before and after the heist. The trademark of Quentin Tarantino movies is violence and many people couldn’t handle the torture scenes in the movie and they left the screens very early. But Tarantino was really happy with these kinds of responses and said: “It never bothered me when people walked out. It just meant the scene worked.”

Pulp Fiction is written and directed by Quentin Tarantino and was released in the year 1994. The star cast of the movie includes John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman, Bruce Willis, Harvey Keitel, and Tim Roth. The movie has seven narrative sequences and can’t be categorized under a single genre. Even though the movie has won Oscar Award for the Best Original Screenplay, many people complained about the use of over violence and graphic content in the movie during the screenings. There is a particular scene in the movie where John Travolta thrusts a needle into Uma Thurman’s chest, and it was reported that several viewers became unconscious watching that scene!
