What do most of us book nerds want? A book series that keeps us engrossed by its twisting story line. So I have shortlisted 5 Action-Packed books that will keep you on your toes until you finish the whole series. To just say that these books are awesome, would be an understatement.
Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan
The top book title on this list is ‘Percy Jackson and The Olympians by Rick Riordan’. With 20 or so books, it will never keep you bored. Percy Jackson and The Olympians is the first series with 5 books in all, which is based on Greek Mythology. It focuses on the fact that gods are real and exist in this world (on top of the Empire State building).
The second series Kane Chronicles with 3 books filled with magic and adventure, opens up a gate to another type of gods, The Egyptian gods. The third book series Heroes Of Olympus with a total of 5 adds up to Percy Jackson by adding another set of gods, The Roman ones.
If you still haven’t had enough, The fourth series Magnus Chase and The Gods of Asgard open up The Norse Mythology. Then there are also the wiki diaries that focus on each of the mythologies and short stories about your favorite heroes. The Greek Heroes and The Greek Gods will take you back to ancient Greece, taken by a report by Percy Jackson himself. Rick Riordan’s latest series The Trials of Apollo, is the god *drumroll*…. Apollo!
The Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney:
With a total of 11 books and two additional books: The Wimpy Kid Do-It-Yourself Book, and The Wimpy Kid Movie Diary and 3 Movies based on the first 4 books, this series focuses on the story of a middle-school weakling named Greg Heffley and his best friend Rowley Jefferson.
The Hunger Games
The ever popular survival books, Hunger Games! The story is about a place called Panem, it is split up into 12 districts. Each year, every district is forced to randomly choose two tributes–one girl and one boy–to fight in the annual Hunger Games. Although just try to do one thing, read the books first. The series is complete with 3 books and 3 movies.
The Maze Runner
The Maze Runner is the first book in a young-adult post-apocalyptic science fiction pentalogy of the same name by James Dashner. The book series include The Maze Runner, The Scorch Trials, The Death cure and the two prequels The Kill Order and Fever Code. The story starts as Thomas wakes up in a dark moving cage with nothing in his memory except for his name.
Alex Rider
Who doesn’t like James Bond? Now imagine a younger, even more, kickass version of James Bond. There you go, you have Alex Rider, a teenage kid with a family history of spies, working for MI6. With a total of 9 books, packed with action and adventure, multiple evil organization. Again, try not to see the movie, ever!
